Earlier this week, Santa Monica Studio revealed that God of War and God of War 3 Remastered saves will be transferrable between generations. Likely, there is some kind of technical issue holding up Syndicate and the Chronicles games, but unless Ubisoft offers more clarity on the subject, fans will have to speculate. The entire franchise is available on current generation systems in one form or another, whether it be standalone titles or collections. As a main series title, its absence is curious, especially considering its predecessor, Assassin's Creed Unity, appears to be compatible. While perhaps not the most beloved entry in the series, Assassin's Creed Syndicate does have its proponents. Ubisoft did not offer an explanation as to why these games are incompatible. Assassin's Creed Syndicate and the entire Assassin's Creed Chronicles spin-off trilogy are not backward compatible with the PS5. Assassin's Creed fans looking for the complete franchise experience on PS5 are out of luck. For the Xbox family, it says, all Ubisoft games for Xbox One will be backward compatible. PlayStation is a different story, however.
